Draw biased club

I'm looking at a new driver for 2013.  My friend suggests I get a draw biased club because he has been more consistent with his.  I have always stuck with neutral stuff.

My question is.  A draw biased club has the face slightly closed.  But to hit a draw you leave the face slightly open and swing in to out.  Wouldn't a draw biased club make me hit more of a "straight" shot with a wicked draw at the end instead of starting out to the right and coming back to my target as i intend?  I also have a tough time swinging in to out, most of my swings are "straight" or out to in.  wouldn't a draw club make me hit dead left shots a lot?

What's your current ball flight. And be specific...do they start left of you target and fade/slice back to the right? This will let us know of a draw bias club will help or hurt.

I'd stay away from draw biased clubs. However, if you decide to go that way PM me as I have a BB Callaway Diablo that is a great club but I'm looking to trade or sell because its draw biased and I hate it lol.

My normal driver flight starts left of target and fade to the right, or starts straight and fades to the right of the target.  I almost never hit a draw with my driver, intentional or otherwise.  I do hit a draw with my 5 wood and 3 hybrid when I want to, starts out right, comes back to target.

Yep! You have a better understanding of the ball flight laws than the manufacturers of "draw biased" clubs. Or at least better than the average guy that buys one! ;-)

Draw biased clubs will cause the ball to start more left(relative to a neutral club) along with one of the following two things, assuming you're not hitting a dead straight shot, which is pretty hard. : )

Less fade spin for people who leave the face open to the path.

More draw spin for people who get the face closed to the path.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yuk it up ya bastids. I'd probably have better luck selling it if I didn't always tell people why they are such a bad idea first... Guess I'm just one of the good guys. :-)

If your shots currently start left of the target then your club face is already closed to your target. It's still open to your path whic is obviously outside to inside (over the top). A draw biased club will not help you. If you we're hitting a push fade/slice...it would be a different story. But you are doing a decent job squaring the club face. Just need to work on your swing path.
