Going to be in town for the weekend and was looking to hit up a course while I'm down there, probably either early Saturday morning or early Sat afternoon.  Not looking for a special experience or anything, but I'll spend up to $50-60 to play something decent.  Any suggestions?  I'm staying at the Seminole Hard Rock, so closer to there is better.

Depending on where in Fort Lauderdale you're staying, I recommend a course in Delray Beach, nine holes of which are an old Donald Ross design. I played it fairly often when I lived there, and while not "blow me away good" it is a solid design at a fair price. http://www.jcdsportsgroup.com/delray-beach-golf-club

that's a little further than I would like to travel, given there are a ton of golf courses around.  I guess I could have specified, I'm staying at the Seminole hard Rock hotel/casino (bachelor party, not my first choice).  I've done a little research and the one I see so far that's close, seems pretty well reviewed, and reasonable prices, is Hillcrest GCC.  Anyone play there?  Other courses I'm thinking of are Colony West and Jacaranda

Haven't played there in awhile, but Inverrary was always fun.  Some history there too.

Buddy of mine was a caddie there back in the day.  Carried for Gleason 2 years running.

My brother was a pro at Emerald Hills in Hollwood. A little pricey during season (now). Sweet track that hosts many events.

Another choice in Boca is the Boca Champ. I played there recently, it's affordable, fun, and forgiving.

I haven't played in Broward for quite a few years so I can't recommend anything first hand.  However, if anyone mentions Adios you better go.  Well, a guy can dream right. Check out the pics. Wow!

    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
