Second round of the year

Weather has kept my regular group off the course this year. We got out today for the second time this year and I played with the younger guys from the white tees. At 70,  I certainly qualify to play from the senior tees. I shot 77 (35/42) - hit 8 out of 13 fairways, 10 greens in regulation with approaches typically coming from 160 yds plus. Course plays over 6400 from whites. The 5 par threes are 150 to 175 yds each. Weather today was clear with temps ranging from 37 to 49 degree nand winds up to 10 mph- meaning the ball just would not go very far.

Now add to this - the greens had just been aerated and top dressed with sand .which made putting quite a chore.

I am elated with the score. I am a 4 handicap  and when the weather gets warmer I am looking forward to better scores, more stamina and shooting my age frequently.

Nice playing, Tom.  Where did you play?  I have managed only one round in 2013 so far.  Played a little course in mid-January that was waterlogged and with a few greens covered with snow & ice.  Looks like my next round won't be until the latter half of March, assuming we get a turn in the weather in SE Michigan.
