Hi all,

well after 25 years plus living in CT. its time to get the hell out of here and move South.

I lived in the Greenville  (went to Furman) / Travelors Rest / Spartanburg area for @ 7 years so know that part of the state pretty well. The Charlestown area was always my Shangrila.

So...looking for any recommendations on a hamlet, town, city to take a look at that has a course within 30 minutes of the general Charleston area.

Heading down there tomorrow (long drive, @ 850 miles) to look at house's so I appreciate the input.

thx - rob

I'm jealous.  My employer even has an office in Charleston.  I ask my wife every day during our 5 months of cold rain ,snow, and darkness if she is interested in moving south.  No luck for the past 16 years....but I keep trying.  Winter might be more tolerable if we at least had sun...but the sun practically disappears in November and doesn't reappear until sometime in April.

You shouldnt have any problem with that. Its nearly impossible to be anywhere in South Carolina and not be 30 minutes from a golf course. I live in Florence S.C. and there has to be at least 8 golf courses inside of 30 min. Im an hour from the coast and the closer you get to the coast the more courses there are.
