Ok i crush my 5 wood. Haha for me i do 210-235 hit fairway 85 percent of the time lite rough others. I try and hit driver and it just goes then turns right I have tried practice it and work on it but just seems easier to go 5 wood and keep in play. Tried 3 wood today not very good results so any ideas i do pretty well manging the course but im always on green in 3 on long par 5 should i just plan for that or is there a easier driver loft etc. any help or recomendations would be great

Bloody good numbers there for your 5 wood. 85 % accuracy is great.

Taking the above advice may lead to destruction of your golf game. Laughing at it may reduce stress.

I don't use a 5 wood (3 wood straight to 18 degree hybrid) but my distance numbers would be about the same because I average my 3 wood about 245 yards and hybrid around 220 yards. On most courses 4 holes will be par 3s and the other 14 will be 4s and 5s. I can comfortably go around hitting my 3 wood off the tee on 11-12 and sometimes use the 3 wood on all 14 if I'm playing cautious. With my distance there are very few holes on non pga length courses where a driver would provide significant benefit.

If you can learn to hit a driver better that's great but I'd suggest that learning to hit a 3 wood well is more likely to provide a bigger advantage to your game. It might be that your 3 wood isn't a good fit for you so I'd suggest either match it to your 5 wood or get fitted properly.

I barely used my driver last season, my course is full of water and tight fairways. No room for screw ups, play it safe keep hitting the wood.
