2 questions.

I have two questions. #1 Is it alright to have a strong grip with say 3-4 knuckles?  #2 I tend to have a more forward ball position with all my clubs, is that ok or should I work on putting it back just a bit?

It all depends on what you are doing with your swing, and what you want to do with it.

Jack Nicklaus recommended a fairly constant ball position for full shots (just inside the left instep for R-handed golfers). Ben Hogan, however, recommended moving the ball forward for longer clubs, and inched backward toward center as clubs got shorter.

Both Jack and Ben won a lot of golf tournaments. But, each player decided on a standard set-up  and got benefits out of a consistent plan.

Same goes for grip. If you have a strong grip and hit the ball OK, why change? Main thing is to be consistent, or at least systematic if you have some variations in grip.
