Bad Grip

What could a bad grip cause? Specifically bad grip pressure. I know it's a vague question, but I find that my right palm is coming completely off the club after impact and I'm clawing those fingers around the grip just to hold onto the club. I've been having trouble with BIG snap hooks lately (which I never hit..) and I'm wondering if my grip could be the culprit.

Depends on the swing,

Weak grip means that the hands are more active through the hitting zone, meaning you need to control the hands more. A stronger grip will turn over easier, because your left hand is overtop the grip, so it turns over easier. But this depends on the person. someone might have a weak grip, but can have it act like a strong grip fro someone else. This is why, when you get lessons, grip should be near the last thing you look at, because its used to fine tune the impact conditions.
