Does anyone own a set of these?  I just pulled the trigger on them yesterday and they come Monday.  My buddy has a set of the original AP-1's and that is how I came to love and buy them.  And I hit every new kind of iron (almost) over the winter.

How do you like them?  I guess this post is more "I cant wait to hit them and play a round on Monday.  HA!

I'm happy with my set. They're forgiving and look great.

i hate that top line of the clubs. Makes it like a super game improvement club. I wouldn't be able to hit it because I would throw up every time i hit it. ap-2 i love, and they are awesome. ap-1 will hit the ball really high with all that weight on the bottom too. im pretty sure you got them at a super discount since they are old clubs. to each there own. not good enough for my standards, but enjoy them if you like that style of club.

Yup.  Have played 2 rounds and I love them.  One of my biggest problems before was having a low ball flight.  Not any more.  I played yesterday and played 2 balls each shot to help figure out distances.  Not only are they higher, I have gained about a club in length from my data so far.  Need to re-grip them but outside of that, I feel good about paying $350 for them.

Now I just need to straighten my driver out.

    • I don't know… The TaylorMade Tiger Woods grinds were decent. I like narrow soles with a lot of bounce (lots of camber) and good heel/toe relief.
    • Day 33 (3 Jun 24) - In between working on my bass guitar and its wiring issues, I was able to take the putter and roll some putts on the carpet in the shop.  Spent time with the lead arm as I usually putt with it tucked close  and then doing the lead arm chicken wing.  Interesting how the feel and pace is different.  Had seen a fellow golfer using it last week when we were playing.  Overall it was good to do an easy day of putting for pace and overall distance control from 10' in.
    • Gotcha. Good to know. I'll have to test them.Any other specific models/grinds from major OEMs (not Edel) that you like and/or have a good blend of narrow sole but enough bounce? I said Non Edel just so I'd be able to test in person/have a variety of buying options
    • Day 578, June 3, 2024 Practiced while two students went to lunch. 🙂
    • Day 81  some technique work a little earlier, looking at grip and weight shift. Later on did some short game practice within 100 yards on the skytrak. It froze during a wedge matrix which was not ideal so i switched to target practice. Need to do this more often to get better at these partial wedges but should also probably do a short game lesson as my launch was quite high. Maybe it will help my full swing too
