Hi Guys,
I took a couple of lessons some time ago where the pro used some computer softwear and a video camera to record my pitiful swing and place me side by side with a pro on his computer screen to compare and possibly troubleshoot some of my many swing flaws. I found it invaluable cause you never think you are swinging like you are really doing it. The software is for sale in Golfsmith but they don't tell you what hardware you need other than a handycam and a computer. I have both but then there must be some intermediate hardware like a "capture Device" that is required. I can't get any help from Golfsmith as to what component I really need. Does anybody have this and can you tell me specifically what I need to make it work?

A video camera with firewire, most likely (most have this) and a computer that does it, too. Have a look at V1 Golf too - they have a free software component as well.

Thanks. What is "fire Wire" My computer doesn't have it. Don't know if the camera does. I went to the website you suggested and took a look at the software. They analyzed my pc and said I don't have the fire wire you referenced. Do you need it for both computer and camera? Is it a connection device between both?

If you can connect your camera to your PC using a USB cable (instead of firewire) then the golfsmith software will take care of the rest.

You need nothing else.
