Steve Stricker is always near the top of the list of best putters on tour. His putting stroke is certainly one to emulate. I like the hands ahead of putterhead set up it encourages solid contact.

I would like to know the finer points of putting - it seems the putter is the least talked about. If I read correctly Tiger used a dominant right hand. What key points do you focus on for putting?

slow back and intentional swing through the ball (follow through)

take the club back 1/2 as far as swing past the ball.

Focus on where you are aiming and not the cup (read the break, pick a spot, line up to the spot, and imagine hitting the ball to that spot)

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

You want to understand putting? Read Pelz's Putting Bible. Everything you wanted and didn't want to know about putting. Made me a better putter and I don't get as upset about the missed ones, though I can't help but think about donuts every time I see the hole.
