During one of my evolvr lessons, I was told to work on keeping my head steady, particularly on the downswing where it tends to move forward (as well as a bit back on the backswing).

The feet together drill http://www.tahoedailytribune.com/article/20090508/SPORTS/905089969 , something Eddie Merrins had me do as a kid, seems like it might be a good way to go, but I have only seen limited discussion on the forum about this drill http://thesandtrap.com/t/36284/love-the-feet-together-drill-its-my-savior .  Are there any downsides to the drill?  Are any good players using this drill?

The S&T; book advocates using the feet together drill for students who do not bring their arms down fast enough relative to their bodies (keeping their arms too loaded on the downswing) i.e. power accumulator four work in TGM, or much of the subject matter within Mvmac's awesome new video on creating lag: "how to effectively create lag on the downswing."

I'm assuming if you have too much flexion in your backswing, your evolvr instructor told you to extend more, turn the shoulders steeper, watch the front knee location, etc. that kind of thing. And re: the downswing, I'd imagine he would recommend more front foot pressure, hip slide, and extension, plus a number of "feel related tips" that wouldn't want to actually do, but would help you keep the head from going forward.

The best thing you can do is to email him before your follow-up video and tell him these thoughts. He'll be able to best handle the situation since this definitely wouldn't be his first rodeo.

Heck, you could just put your head against a wall and make phantom swings when you get a free moment and there's no one around to poke fun at you. There are a lot of ways to tackle this. But I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone using the feet together drill to control key no.1.
