I finally got on the course this weekend. I've been out of the game for 2 years due to injury. I've spent the last four weeks at the range working out my swing. And yesterday, I played my first round with my Dad for fathers day. It was my old home town muni track I grew up playing. I wasn't sure how I'd do after a Friday range outing - everything was going to the right. After I ripped the first tee shot down the middle, I felt way more confident than the day before. I shot 39 - 38, with back-to-back birdies on 12 and 13. My bro-n-law was playing and had me in a $1 skins game. Needless to say, I cleaned house. :) So, I've been contemplating new irons. After a round like that, I wonder if I need to keep what I've got? Anyway, it's glad to be back in the game.

Welcome back to the madness! Sometimes your best rounds are coming off a layoff. You tend to play within myself, don't try anything weird, and have little in the way of expectations. Before you know it, you throw up a good score. That next round is the one you need to watch out for! ;-)
