Who's gotten good service?

I'll start with mine.

Bought a Clearance Nike VR Pro STR8 Fit driver last year.  (10.5, Project X 6.0)

I absolutely am jazzed to hit the thing.  I do mess with the adjustability feature even though the newer clubs have more and even less confusing options.  It's a nice club IMO.

The model does have a record of a small percentage of them breaking off at the ferrule.

AND, mine did this weekend.  (Upside was I was 80% fairways hit starting on the 5th hole using my 3w and 5w - best round of the year so far)

Short story - went to Dick's and asked the 'pro' to help me with Nike to see if they'll make it right (helps that I showed up at the very non-busy timing)

1 - Dick's - The Pro took the action immediately, made the calls, did all the talking and took the club (and pieces).  Gave me a ticket, etc.  15 minutes max. They didn't even ask me to prove I bought it there.

2 - Nike - No hesitation, they said they'd fix it in the factory, new shaft, assembly, checkout, like new.  It should have still been under warranty, but no runaround.

3 - Nike - I had also asked for help on their Facebook site.  they responded withing a few minutes with contact points and info.

Both - no cost.

So I'm not thrilled my club was one that snapped.  But thumbs up to both groups for making it about as easy as can be.

I'll see if I feel the same when I get it back.

Now to dust off the old Sasquatch and put a jumbo grip on it and see if it's still fun to hit.  (I might put a compound grip on it to see if I like those better.  I've been meaning to try them).
