I received the 5SK dvd's and have watched the all a couple times.  About the time I received them my back problem came back so I have not been able to play or swing a club for over 3 weeks now. The pain is fading away slowly and I am about ready to give it a whirl.

I do not remember seeing anything about the take away other than the club head goes back and through on an angle to the target line.

Is there a preferred take away? One peice, left shoulder, right arm take away, etc..?

Hoping to be able to make some swings this week.

There's no preferred takeaway, except whatever takeaway allows you to:

  1. Put the sweetspot (and your hands) in a position to achieve Key #4
  2. Allows you to maintain a relatively steady head by properly stretching and bending.

You'll note that most of the keys are related to the downswing or impact, because 5SK allows for a lot of variety of the backswing. I would suggest that if a player is capable there are "easier" or "simpler" backswings than others, but that also depends on the person swinging the club, too.
