anyone ever played this course?  played it last week when we were on vacation.  dayum, it was tough.  i would give any scratch golfer $100 if they could break 75 playing it for the first time from the tips.  im about a 5-6 handicap right now, and i shot 84 hitting the ball decent.  Most of my problem was not knowing where to hit my tee shots and approaches.  The 5" primary rough didn't help either.  Oh and the mountains in the background will mess with your yardages bad.  Was hitting my 7 iron around 190.  I don't hit my 7i 190...

If anyone has the chance to play it, i suggest you do.  It was brutal, but one of the nicest courses i have ever played.  By far one of the toughest.

Just glad it's still there. The owner's were featured on the local news a few weeks ago fearful it may burn in the fires. I read over 100,000 acres have burned up there.

yeah it was a little smokey on the drive there from Creede in the morning, but turned out to be a beautiful day.  They opened it back up last Sunday i believe.  149 and 160 are open with no escorts.
