So our local sports station here in DFW is 1310 The Ticket.  One of the on-air guys doubles as 'Scoops Callahan', a takeoff of the boisterous 1920's fast-talking sports reporter who covers local sporting events.  He catches Phil Mickelson here and produces an interesting exchange.  In my opinion, Phil rolled with the punches and handled it like a pro.  Good to know these guys can relax and mix it up on occasion.

VOLUME ALERT-  Start with your volume on LOW.  The first few seconds are blaring.

*This is fairly old... but probably new to most of you.*

I've seen these. The one with Greg Popovich is classic: "Am I being punked." Phil response is hilarious though: "Why are you yelling? You're a foot from me."

Yes sir.  Dan annoys me to no end with his constant interruptions and ramblings.  Musers and Hardline, all the way.

Dan ... is annoying.

Was a P1 when they first began and for about 10-15 years.

Musers, Norm ... but I gravitated towards Cooperstein and Grandpa Urine over the last couple of years.

Fake Tiger and Fake Jerry are as good as it gets for me.  I couldn't wait for the Boys to get rid of Wade, but during that shaky period toward the end I found myself hoping they'd keep him week after week because I didn't want those Jerry and Wade segments to go away.  It was the only light at the end of that dark Cowboy tunnel.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
