Regripping a putter

A bit late I know - but I always install round grips on my own clubs rather than ribbed, so that I don't have to worry about perfect alignment. For much the same reason, I've fitted a round grip to my [current] putter - and it's fine.

If I was fitting a flat fronted putter grip - I'd use masking tape, not double sided tape, and use air to install it - just in case I wanted to go back and revisit the alignment after a round or two.
