If your PINGs fit you in length, lie, and flex, and if you are not concerned with the condition of competition groove rule, and if your clubheads are not adversely worn, I would consider a new set of grips and keep swinging them. I think I would get a lot of support from EYE2 devotees on here for that suggestion. There is nothing wrong with new irons of course, and there are so many to meet your needs. If you participate in any formal competitions, I would be careful to select clubs that meet the groove rule, even though it doesn't directly affect a lot of us for a few more years. You seem to keep stuff a long time(I do also), so if you compete that might affect you. The companies you mentioned are both good, and also I would suggest Titleist AP1's or AP2's, and since you have had these PINGs for so long, why not check out their offerings as well?

The current ones are worn, the face is getting pretty worn out. That's why I am looking as I'm back into golf I would like to play some tournaments but it's not a huge deal. I didn't like the feel of the brew ping stuff no idea why. Does anyone have anything for sale or know of a online provider that is reasonable? I have heard eBay is a complete scam with clubs but then I hear different

How the hell is "ebay a complete scam"?

There are sellers on ebay and you buy from a seller. Not from ebay.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I had just read a article that was all. It had stated something along the lines where they just make clubs slap a name brand and that's that's. I am not a eBay person think I have used it once. Can you suggest some links please. If so thank you.

I am actually selling quite a few clubs. I am selling a 10.5° Cobra S3 Driver (Stiff Flex with Golf Pride NDMC Mid-Size Grip in 9/10 condition) and Cobra S2 Irons (4-PW+GW, R Flex, Standard grips, lie and loft). The 7i has slight cosmetic damage on the top-line where a piece of the black plastic chipped off. However, this is purely cosmetic and is really not noticeable when looking down at the club. Feel free to message me if you are interested and maybe we can work something out.

Hi there, If you are at a 12 handicap you may check out the Cleveland CG16i tour and I think they still have the non-tour CG16i(more forgiving)

I got mine(3-pw) tour model...new off amazon for under 400 dollars, I believe they are close out 2011 clubs and ship for free. It took about four rounds with them but i really have them dialed in now, and basically love them...John

Club manufacturers have already stopped making their 2013 year model lines. I just got fitted for a new set of Nike VR Pro Combo irons and the price was much lower for what they've sold for during the year. Of course Nike isn't making these irons next year, but deals are out there right now.

I picked up the Mizuno 2014 equipment catalog yesterday at a local golf shop.

    • They sure do. 158 with an 8 iron is on the high end for me
    • Went back to controlling my knees. That part was getting a bit sloppy when I worked on my backswing. Right hip didn't slide or gain internal rotation. I would just rotate back and around and the left knee would be in a bad spot. Really focusing now on keeping my left knee very stable and straighter in the backswing. I can't go back to the old pattern of overturning the hips. I was returning to my old pattern to time my downswing. Turn forever.  Left knee controls both knees and hips, acting as an anchor. Feel like it straightens a bit.   Hinge sooner and faster. Not in a way that sends the hands out and flips the club over. I still noticed when the hands get to A2.5, the hands would want to flip over and flatten the club out a ton.  Still trying to figure out how to roll the forearms a bit open and not just roll the club inside a ton.  Figure out the timing to get the hands down. Still getting a bit of right elbow collapsing in the downswing because the arms are too high when I turn. Everything is happening sooner now. If the hips are controlled, the backswing is shortened. Because it is shortened I don't know when to get the hands down and I just turn because the downswing is a go.  Very slow (50%) swings are decent.
    • Distances look fine, no?
    • Day 207-12 Wider backswing and arm reconnecting in downswing. Did a much better job with proper wrist movements through downswing today.
