I found this for $35 and am tempted. I like that it has 16 degrees of bounce. Anyone with any experience with this club?

It's a SW with C-grind: heel and toe relief on the sole to allow more opening and closing of the face when wanted. For $34 - if it's new - give it a try. You'll have to practice a bit with it to get used to what you can do.

Note: it has a graphite shaft. If that didn't work out, you could reshaft.

I have a Callaway X.Forged (circa 2009) - C-grind with 56.15 - and I really like it. It replaced a 54* and a 58* from another  manufacturer.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Not to side-track your club consideration, or blatantly promote another website, but Rock Bottom currently has a great sale on Scratch wedges. The 3-wedge set is currently still selling for $189.99, however you can purchase individual 8620 Chrome Milled wedges for $38.00 each. In my experience, I liked these wedges more than Vokey, X-Jaws (CC Slate) or 588 by Cleveland. Just offering some helpful insight.  The price is great considering the PGA Value Guide considers a resale of a Scratch 8620 to be $45 used. They would be rather easy to sell if you're not satisfied.

I sold my entire set and am starting from the ground up on rebuilding my set. I just purchased 3 of the Scratch wedges last night and they should arrive on Thursday. I also received a free gift, a Wilson Black Chrome Harmoized 64° LW, which I intend to give away.

I couldn't find the $38 price, perhaps the sale is over? I only found this:

I missed that it was a graphite shaft. Thanks for the heads up.

Damn. Sorry, the sale must have ended literally this morning. It was part of their "Rocktoberfest Our-Cost" campaign.

No need for apologies. Looks like I need to check Rockbottom more often.

    • Day 21 - 2026-01-10 More mirror work focused on hip.
    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
