I really wanted to establish an official handicap this year. Unfortunately, my home course (http://caberfaepeaks.com/golf/course-layout/) doesn't seem to have a course rating or slope. Is this always the case with a nine hole course?

Do you have a smartphone?  I love SwingBySwing.  It's a full-game app, you use it to keep score, find yardage, etc.,  and it keeps track of your handicap after three rounds (I think).  You can upgrade to a "Pro" subscription that has extra features as well.
