what are yours before a round or even during a round......

before a round I never play balls #4.... seems like bad luck and 0-3's are the ones.. always hit at least 2 good drives.. and if the course has no driving range then I find somewhere and tee up a couple before or there. tees are yellow, red, orange, green but never white....clear pockets and only carry my lucky ball marker and divot tool...

once on course if my round is real good, no beer, food at 9 just water or a sm fuit snack.. if I feel I'm stuggling then the ball is the 1st to go buy-buy. get a new one, never play a lost ball or a found one, no matter how new..
always put my name on top of the scorecard. and never let anyone pick up a putt and say its good. all putts go in, no mater if its just hanging on the edge, I putt them all. unless its match play...lol

I'll only use natural wood tee's, with or without clearcoat, just no colors. When putting, I place the logo and number on the ball so it's face up, torwards the hole. That's about it, besides always hitting a huge push slice after all birdies.......

Never ever play a ball numbered 3. Always mark my ball with a heads up quarter, with George Washington looking towards the hole. If I hit a nice drive, I take the tee (if intact) and put it behind one of my ears, as if it were a seat of honor. Always take off my glove before I set foot on the green. And I thought after I saw that commercial with Natalie Gulbis, David Feherty, Alice Cooper, Lee Trevino, and George Lopez in which Natalie says she does, I decided that once I buy a new box of balls I talk to them. Set them straight. Tell them what they're going to do. Because, as Natalie said, once they've been in the bag with the other balls, they're influenced.

Call me crazy, but I feel it works for me.

Never ball #4, never a Callaway, always wear a Taylor Made or Adidas r7 hat, clubs must be in the same spot in my bag, flag must not be in sight as I am putting, and never a ball with a sharpie marking from its previous owner.

That would be awfully dumb to throw them out. He probably does what I do, except with the 3 sleeve for me...Take the 3 out in the store and put a 1,2, or 4 in from another box. Or trade them with a friend.

I have 4 sleeves of 4's and one of them is nike which I have never had a good shot from.. lol I can't explain it, there just not my cup of tea, so the trick is to buy a sleeve from the sports shop and then return the #4s the next day ..... or give them to the guys your play'n with.....lol

    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
    • I got another one today....Number 17. Par 5 that has water left and right on the layup. I smacked a drive down the left side and got a little lazy on the layup and fanned my 6 iron. With 112 to a crowned green I got it to 3 feet and birdie!  Only 5 and 15 is left for this year!
    • Maybe I didn’t explain this properly. Back and front can be confusing.  There was no place in the bunker that didn’t have 2-3 inches of rain water in it, except for a small spot on the slope nearest the pin. If I had dropped there I would be moving 6-7 feet closer to the hole. Since my ball was just inside the bunker, farthest side from the hole, I dropped one club length backward, which brought me out of the bunker. I could not have hit from that deep of water. Are you saying I would have had to take a penalty stroke due to rain water?
    • Day 550, May 5, 2024 Got a good hour in with a typical (for me) two-stick setup: pool noodle angled in front, yardstick on the ground angled 45° behind me.
    • Day 130: Cinco de Mayo Day 7/24 of Full Speed Spectrum training. Difficult training day after struggling to certify my warmup yesterday, and today. Finished 13 mph lower than my training speed on Thursday. Hope to hit some balls today.
