Ive had quite a few bits over the years from the USA delivered to England - mostly from Edwinn Watts.Wouldnt say ive really saved anything but nearly all golf equipment is at least 6 months ahead delivery-wise from the states as 90% of quality golf companies are US based as im sure you know.

If you just MUST have it,then getting from the USA is the only way you'll beat the queue......................

I'm the same as sevenfourate, bought a few things from Edwin Watts, the basic price works out cheaper but by the time you pay delivery and import tax it works out about the same.

Currently trying to get a TM Corza putter imported...

Edwin Watts aint the cheapest,but has always been reliable as hell to me for deliveries to the UK.Cant fault the place

I sold a few of my clubs via eBay to England. If it's shipped as "used", "gift", "no value" the no-duties condition saves a lot of money (so I was told by the buyers...). From what I saw in general the prices in Europe are definitelly higher (I'd belive especially now with the exchange rate of euro to dollar).

www.gogmagog.co.uk) , we have the county championship this weekend on the Wandlebury course and from 2006, regional Open qualifying which means R&A; will have major influence on course setup etc... I decided not to play in county this year as totally rebuilding game, been going to the Faldo institute which is amazing, problem is my game is very hit and miss at the moment. Not really heard of Rookery Park, although I am pretty new to the area. I'm ordering some stuff from golfgods which seems pretty good on price. Edwinwatts are very reliable, and the stuff pretty much arrives 'next day' which I find amazing! Mark

Regional Open qualifying at gogs from 2006 - thats interesting.I normally play at Orsett in Essex,tried three times and got through to final qualifying twice.Played with Tom Gillis from the US Tour two years ago - who was a miserable git by all accounts.Bad attitude,shouldnt have been playing for fun in my opinion,let alone for a living !!! Great player though - and he's a "no-one" in real top-level golfing terms.I got an alternate spot that year and took J Vandervelde's place when he pulled out injured.

Not this year though as im STILL ( ) awaiting "official" reinstatement of my amateur status back..............

Faldo institute sounds good - bet you've learnt a great deal - now to put it into practice hey ? !

Only played at the gogs a few times but i really liked it.Well,played the old course.I havnt played the newer of the two.

Due to an post-office failure to deliver a shaft i won on ebay last week,it looks like im going to be ordering from the states again.Hope its more successful than the British mail system.Shouldnt be to hard

I ordered a TaylorMade Monza Corza #1 putter from golfgods, postage was a bit expensive but by the time I've waited for it to come out over here... Need a spare putter as just sold my Scotty.. So how long before you get your Am status back then? I'm trying to go the other way, just saving at the mo to quit my job then go back to Uni to do a MSc or the like in Golf studies... Just need to find somewhere to do (in the states hopefully, I've heard it's cheap over there!!)

I ordered a couple of Graphite Design Purple Ice shafts as "spares" - there long out of production and im really in love with them (Arrived safely today).I dont think anything bar possibly the Aldila NVS has a flex point quite as low.Being tall and swinging reasonably steep,its real easy for me to chop down on my driver a bit and get a low flight sure,but apply alot of spin to the driver.I need some help to really get a good launch angle.

I also managed to win from Australia last night on ebay an Odyssey Tour fill + factory lined white-hot two-ball.Got it for an ok price and delivery was (get this) £11.50 AIRMAIL to the UK.CANT WAIT !

I quite fancied a Mezza Monza also,and whilst looking saw the new Corza at a few shops in the states.Looks really nice but i thought the face looked excessively deep on the pics i saw ??????

Am status - Mmmmmm - a sore point.Unfortunately i didnt get away with a small time "in-limbo" and the current latest from the Royal + Ancient is Feb 2007 before i officially get an official handicap back.Local club ive joined have given me 0.0 so i can play in club comps and had a couple of rounds under par in comps to hold this at the moment.Not really interested though at moment,am just playing for the shear fun of the game - just practising hard and playing alot in readiness for 2007 when i really want to push myself to see what i can do.

I know three people who've been to college in the states and also one lad who did a golf studies course somewhere near Preston ???? Golf management maybe was it ? Either a MSc or a HND.Not sure.Certainly the future of golf club management in my eyes.....
