This is new to me, Went into to a golf shop.....I just about stop at everyone I pass to seek out the best trainer (pro), and they had this projector set up inside! You walk in, and you are standing in front of one big *ss TV. Anyways......I start to talk to the guy about it like its the coolest thing in the world, I proceed to go in......he tells me "you gotta pay to use that, you just can't walk in" I toss the guy my card and say, "Turn this puppy on and tell me what to do" By now he has confirmed an an idiot, but plays along. He said it's twenty bucks for a half hour...I say great lets go!!

OK so I'm in. We have ignition. He tells me to hit the ball off the rubber tee we are all familure with at the range. This seemed odd to me because he handed me a 6 iron. I asked, why would I hit a 6 iron off a tee? He said: "you have to so the machine to read your swing speed. It also will tell you about an open or closed club faced head" Oh Ok, I say, if thats the way it works. Fine. Well I'm wacking the spit outta these things one after another, pretty soon I'm winded, and turn around to rest and the whole golf shop is watching this display of arm swinging. Kinda freaked me out a bit, but I kept going. I think it's important to be able to hit infront of people so I kept going because I want to feel comfortable doing that. I'm getting better at it.

My results:

85% in the fairway
farthest shot 170 yrds something.
My swing speed was 80 I want to say 87 but I was so "into it" I forgot. If the members on here agree, and you are suppose to hit a 6 iron off the tee......I will be at that place every two weeks to map my progress.

Oh, and I will bring my own clubs.

I was at a Golfsmith store today, hitting various 6 irons, but not off the tee, and the machine had no issue reading my swing speed, face angle, launch angle, etc. The ones I was trying were 28 degree graphite shaft 6 irons. Averaging about 157yds.

    • Shot a 37 with two birdies. 2 highlights which came on the same hole.  Had a 297 yard drive which set me up for a nice approach on my  nemesis hole which I walked off with a birdie. Previous best for ages was a bogey on that hole.  2 more added to the birdie challenge.
    • I can just see Norman rushing in to LIV admin building with his silly shark hat gleaming to the Saudis, ‘ Gentleman! Have I got a great idea! Let’s have our OWN golf courses…like American football and NBA Does! It’ll really grow the game!’ He rushes out as the Saudis give him their encouragement. As the door closes and before the smell of Greg’s Brut cologne has even dissipated, they all laugh hysterically.
    • He wont win. I'm just going to leave it alone, Come on, the guys name is Gooch. The jokes write themselves. Had to suck in high school.
    • Day 122 - Stack session and some Evolvr work.
    • You've heard me say that one of my feels is that the ball will go 45° right… and it doesn't. At all. Just make sure you remember HOW crazy that feel is, because… it may feel that extreme for a long time.
