Las Vegas Country Club

Anybody know anything about the Las Vegas Country Club? That is the one behind the LVH by the convention center.

It's a traditional private country club. During my many visits to LV, I've played about two dozen courses but never could get on this one.

Have been on one golf trip to Vegas and played it - I wouldn't have guessed it was that hard to get on.

Course was fine but nothing you will remember for long - condition was good as you would expect at a CC - staff was attentive and polite - lunch was standard club type food - in my opinion it is a good starter course for a trip. it is close to the airport and the hotels, nothing to get crazy about but will treat you well and provide a solid quality product.

I've walked Shadow Creek once for the M.J tournament and really couldn't imagine a place being anymore amazing that's located in Las Vegas. I've heard arguments from the locals that say Cascatta and the wynn is comparable.

I would think Southern Highlands or Dragon Ridge is a bit more tricky than LVCC to get on and play. What LVCC has that they don't, is that it's on the strip and I think that adds to allure of the

course. Unlike Bali Hai, It's on the strip but in a terrible location. Huge aircraft taking off and landing above you can get annoying for such a nice course that can charge 125 to 200 bucks a rack

If you're hip to about and hour drive, I highly recommend coyote springs, you take the I-15 N then exit onto a two lane road for about 35 miles. The greens are ridiculously undulating, 3 putts will rear its ugly head all day long.
