Hello,
I don't know which club I should pick.

There ist the R7st for 179$ and the R7 TP for 229$.

Is the difference big between those two clubs or is it just to a "tour" club?

Please post your opinions! Thank you!

The main difference between the TP and the Non-TP is going to be the clubface angle.

The Non-TP has a closed face angle, probably around 3-4 deg closed.
The TP has a more neutral face angle, probably around 1 deg closed to 1 deg open.

The shafts are different, the TP stiff is a bit stiffer and the flex point is a bit more in the middle. The ball flight is going to be lower on the TP model.

I am not sure if the gear in your sig is up to date but, you are getting another R7?
How do you find the ProjectX 6.0, do you find them stiffer then a regular stiff?

The Diference is the R7 St is more forgiving than the TP and the TP have more workability. The St is a litle more draw bias than the TP but you can get a neutral bias with the MWT. I have ST 5 wood and is a great club I hit it betwen 240 and 250 yards straight all the time.

Trust me on this, I have hit almost every Taylor Made club made in the past 4 years. The TP has no forgiveness at all. The steel might gets a little less distance, but will almost always produce a straight, perfect ball flight if struck well. The steel has a lot more forgiveness also. If you handicap is 0-4 go with the TP, if you are 5-99 go with the steel. You honestly have to hit the ball PERFECT and I mean PERFECT to have a nice shot. Do yourself a favor and get the steel, no questions asked. If you have not tryed the burner steel, give it a shot. In my opinion, the burner steel is the best.

I want to have the fairway wood according to my driver, because really like my driver.

I love the project x! it seems to me, that the shaft is "regular" stiff. But there might be other opinions, because I havent played very long other stiff shafts (TT S300) just for demoing. Is the Burner an option? I dont like the look of it, but I will give it a try when I get the chance to do ist. Thank you all, it looks like I will get the steel.

This will vary by shaft manufacturer, but a 6.0 is much more stiff that most "stiff" shafts. A 5.5 is much closer to what the majority of manufacturers consider stiff.

This is my first post here. Hey everyone. I am also looking at either the R7 or R7 TP. I currently have a set of Titleist 690.CB and they are pretty tough to hit well on a consistent basis. I typically shoot between a 95 and 107. The irons are the strong part of my game. My high scores are usually due to 3 putts and bad drives. I can work the ball a bit and am thinking of getting the R7 to give me a bit more forgiveness. Is the R7 pretty workable? I'm guessing the R7 TP is in between my irons and the R7s. I'm not sure which ones to get. I went to the store the other day and hit both of them. The only thing I could really get from it is that the R7s have a much "softer" feel that the R7 TP's and my 690.CB's. Does anyone have any input?
Thanks,
