What you want from a launch monitor?

Last year, I bought my X460 driver after trying it and a few other clubs, but without using a launch monitor. There is a Cleveland demo day here this weekend, and I'd like to compare my current driver to their new HiBore XL. I know a launch monitor will measure spin, side spin, launch angle and club head speed - maybe more.

What do I want to find out and what are ideal numbers or ranges for each measurement?
