Luiten made an Albatros yesterday at the Andalusian open. He is at -6 and in the lead. Sergio second at -5.
Luiten needs a good result badly, nr 102 at the owgr now.
Saw him play on thursday. First shot I saw was his approach at hole 2 (his 11th, started at 10). At that moment he was at -1 and playing well. I was shattered to see him hitting a really bad shot against a tree and making bogey. But then started the Joost show. His irons were so sharp he did’nt need a hot putter. Three tap in birdies and two from within 6 yards and a score of -5. Amazing to watch him play like the best in the world.
95 percent of my shots 'feel' good but centered up flush exactly on the sweet spot? Dunno. I use gi irons'for the most part these days and if thy feel bad it's a horrible mishit.
I do know my distances on irons are quite repeatable.
Truly sweet? I just don't know. I have more feel on blades and persimmons....Gi clubs always feel good that's why I use them.
Yes. My golf swing is very right side dominant. There are a lot of things I do well with my left hand but swinging the golf club is not one of them.
Nah. Backswing is decent but have the tendency to overload the left arm by bending at the right elbow too much. Right arm also likes to roll the clubhead inward in the takeaway. At transition is where the train derails: the elbow moves behind me and tips the shaft steep, then I shallow late with inconsistent clubface control.
