What type of tournament would you like your men’s/women’s club would hold? (Explain if necessary)

The club tournament I wish my men’s club would hold is called a “2 man Greenssome” which is where both members of the team tee off, selecting the best drive, then play an alternating shot in from that point. The players whose tee shot is not used must begin the alternating shot on that given hole.

What is your favorite type of club tournament you have played or will play this year?

My favorite type of club tournament my men’s club holds is the club championship that consist of 36 holes of stroke play. I also playing with my best buddy for the 2 man better ball.

I'd like there to be side prizes for longest drives, closest to the pin, and so on.

A great idea for a scramble - make at least one hole worst ball only. That would be interesting to see.

The thing that I wish our club has was a better Match Play event. We have one, but it isn't really well put together. Because of the fact our club is newer and relatively smaller we don't have much of an ability to have muliple flights. So our match play we had handicaps involved, which isn't so bad, but lower handicap players end up giving a ton of strokes.

I'd rather we just had different flights, championship flight could be like 0-6 hdcp and so on, then just seed your players accordingly and play it up. Then most of the time you're pretty close to your competitor and with nobody having to give strokes just play the match.

There is another large club in town, the only event of their's I like more than our's is that, otherwise I'm pretty happy with our club, the Club Championship is great, 36 hole 2 day event.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
