Just popping to say 'Hello.' It's been a good year of growth for me on the golf course. Starting to regularly shoot in the 80's and starting to expect 1 birdie and a few pars a round. Even won the long drive comp in a tournament at Washington National! Woo hoo!\

Anywho... just saying hello

Hey welcome. There's a few of us from the PNW here. We should organize an outing before the weather goes to hell. :)

As long as it's not Wayne... ugh

I am actually out in Kenmore... where do you play most of your rounds?

Willow's Run, Legion Memorial, Walter Hall and Nile are the usual haunts. I've actually never played Wayne. I hear it's pretty bad. :)

Wayne is not pretty bad... it's horrible.

I dig on Nile, though Ballinger is a great little 'practice round' course. I like the Seattle Muni's(Jackson, Jefferson, West Seattle) as well. Legion and Walter Hall are just a little to far north for me. If I am going up there I might as well just go all the way up to Kayak or Battle Creek.

Late in the season, but if there is a Saturday/Sunday outing I am always down to find new golfing people.

    • Day 233 (22 Dec 24) - Very late afternoon session (after watching the PNC finish - much more entertaining than the Showdown) with the 50deg, hitting nippy low flighted chips.  Really focused on foot position and keeping swing smooth.   As light was fading fast and temps were heading south of freezing, session was pretty abbreviated.
    • Tiger’s walking at the PNC and people say he’s not limping.
    • I haven't heard much of anything about it. Faux leather, sure. Biodegradable leather? No. No idea. You're a bit too new, still, to post links.
    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
