hey guys, while on the course last weekend, i found a few tees laying on the ground (they were broken, but still served their purpose)... the bottoms were like any normal tee, but about mid-ways, they came straight out, and as it went up, curved inward, and back out to where the ball rests at... here's a VERY quick drawing using paint... (if i can get it figured out)

anyway, what kind of tee is this?

I think they are called castle tees ( at least thats what I call them ). I don't really like them, its like one height only. Its very annoying having to sort through your pocket for the right sized one to fit the club you are about to hit.
Whats in the bag:

Driver: Nike Ignite 460cc 10.5* Fujikura Ignite reg flex
Fairway woods: Howson tour master power series 3,5 woods
Irons: MacGregor M675 3-PW DG S300 Wedges: Mizuno MP-R Black Nickel 54.10, 60.05Putter: Pinfire Golf P4Ball: Titleist NXT TourHome Course:http://www.golfarmagh.co.uk/...

They are called Rip-Stix, they are made like that so you tee up the ball at the same height, kind of like a Brush-T. IMO I love them, because they are the perfect height for my driver.

Here's what I play:

Titleist 907 D2 10.5* UST ProForce V2 76-S | Titleist 906F4 18.5* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist 585H 21* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist ZB 4-PW TTDG S300 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 54.10 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 60.08 | Scotty Cameron Red X5 33" |

hmm...must be called different things from different manufacturers... that site that masa posted calls them step tees... either way, i like them... the one that i used, even though it was broken, gave me a beautiful shot the first time i was out.. but i must have used the last of the good juju that was in it because a few shots later, i ended up taking a bad shot and losing it at the same time... ball went about 50 feet up, and landed about 10 feet away from me, and i never saw that tee again...lol
