i don't know of a better putter than the newports, or a better feel, so i dont know what to tell you. My advice would be to go to Golf galaxy and just spend a day hitting all the putters there.

Bettinardi putters are really nice. I've heard so many people say, their SC are now in the close after putting with a Bettirnadi. I've tested the C series and they are awesome.

a friend of mine picked up one of the new Bettinardi mallets, the all black strange looking things. Anyways, if you can get past the look then they are a great stick. I was suprised how much I liked it, I'm not really a mallet guy.

but like said above, kind of hard to find something with a better feel and roll than a scotty

This will be a very subjective opinion, given it's based on feel. A putter can feel very differrent from one person to another. Personally I've used many different Scotty's over the years and I'm very impressed with the Yes! Golf putters, but that's me

what was our favorite scotty cameron putter... i need a putter with a thicker wall because the scotty cameron that i have now has the insert so its harder for me to feel the shorter 5ft and in puts

I have several including a JAT, Napa, Stainless Steel Newport 2, Detour, Red X. If you're looking for something with a thicker wall then first try a mallet, if you still don't like that then try one without an insert in the face.

I have a Never Compromise GM2 MM, I know that you don't like mallets, but they also make blade putters. I have tried my GM2 side by side with a Scotty Cameron putter (that was my instructor's putter) and i prefered the GM2, and they also have a lower price tag. And by the way good luck with finding a new putter.

Here's what I play:

Mine has a sight line. If you are able to find one and it doesn't happen to have a sight line then you can send it to the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop to have one added.

a newport is a little smaller than a newport 2 but the 2 can be bought the way you want it. it has different shaft length options with corrected headweights and the lie and loft can be different than standard all straight from scotty.
