Wow, how wonderful it is to have an indoor simulator!

Some days, I simulate a round at range practice without the benefit of high tech.  I go through an imaginary round at my home course thus --->  If I hit drive & approach shot perfectly, I give myself a par.   If I miss the approach shot near green, it counts as bogey.   If I believe I hit an OB, I hit provision and count the final score on that hole accordingly.  It's a poor man's simulator but gives me some idea how my game is coming together.   It only works on a course which I memorized all the holes.   Anyone else does this, lacking a real simulator?
