Another thought to ponder is spin rates. I noted that the X Hot irons had really low spin rates in comparison, which suggests they may be difficult to hold on the green. So maybe distance isn't everything?

Interesting read. Confirms what we have all suspected but some of those smash factor numbers seem off. I would think a 1.49 smash with a 5 iron would have to be a misread.

Those are 6i readings, so it's even harder to believe the smash factor. Interesting read. I just figured that my increase in distance with the new clubs versus my MP32 was because there was less distance loss on my mishits due to the added forgiveness.
