I want to get a vokey 52 degree Spin milled RAW wedge, 52 degrees.. I really want to get one used, but afraid of how worn out they get after just one season..

So Is there are way you can sharpen the grooves?? I could take my dremel with a little cutting wheel and dig in a little..

I understand this might not be legal, but I play for fun and don't think it will make much of a difference.

Let me know. THANKS

I think it's legal. Illegal is if you put something on the club face. Using that kind of tool is like cleaning the grooves making them almost new.

Figuratively, you're using almost "new" wedges in every round and that isn't against the USGA rules, is it?

What's in the bag:

Wood: 906F4 18.5° ~ Aldila VS Proto 80g Stiff
Irons: MP-60 3-PW ~ True Temper Tour Concept S3

this last yr was one of single best things I did. I bought a set of flea market jeweler file sets and did them myself. they now are just like new and I can once again get the ball to spin on the green or work the ball a bit. keeping your clubs clean on the course does wonders too. all to often I see guys with groves filled with grass/dirt/ect and that is a waste too.
so if your going to do your groves, don't forget to buy a good brush and clean your groves after each shot.
as for whether not its legal, no one is paying me to play golf or giving me new clubs to play with, so if making my older irons feel new again is a crime then so be it, I'll just have to live with that one I guess....lol

FYI A regular brush, plastic and metal brushes will not clean that well, I learned quickly that the best thing to add to your bag is this

YOU HAVE TO HAVE WATER otherwise it will not clean that well at all..

But you really need to try it to understand, you can brush the hell out of your clubs with the metal side of a club cleaner and then use what I posted and watch how much more dirt and grass comes out of it.

Let me add, I add water then a good squirt of dishwashing soap, then cap it off and shake it. It last's me the entire round.. Its also great for your confidence, looking at a brand new club at address everytime, just does something to help you improve your game.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
