Hey Guys,

I have been playing golf for roughly a year now at a good age of 25. The wife's dad got me really addicted and now have clubs all over the house hidden.

My Average score is really high, so I basically do not keep score at the moment. (Just play for fun).

My ball flight before my first lesson with Evolvr was all over the place but with some changes and 8 days of hard practice my ball is currently going straight to a slight fade.

Robert Rock is a rock star!

These videos were after my first lesson with Evolvr. I had a very heavy wrist set at the top of my back swing. The shaft would be at parallel when my left arm was parallel.

We changed to a wrist hinge very early on. Shaft is now at parallel when my hands are roughly cross my thigh and I have been working on keeping the handle pointing more out towards the ball. I used to have it pointing pretty steep.

Welcome to the site!

First video is set to private.

Yes, if you could have this be the end of your backswing that would really help the downswing.

Thank you! I will take that off private. Any ideas on practicing to get into that position? Nice and slow so muscle memory takes over? I am looking forward to my Evolvr lesson. Hopefully I see it tonight :).

Stick with what your Evolvr instructor has you working on but basically feel like your backswing is done at A3, left arm parallel to the ground.

I have been working hard to change my swing and what my instructor with Evolvr has been teaching me.

This video is my first lesson. Main focus on this was to have my shaft parallel to the ground while the hands are passing my thighs.

My next lesson was to keep grinding out A1 - A2 wrist cock action but also to flatten my swing out and stop over turning.
This is how it looks now.

I think i maybe still overturning a bit but my hands are coming in flatter. I would like to try to get my left arm running through my shoulder, so you can basically not see my shoulder. But i am not that flexible. Like my man rock at A4.

Keep doing the drill.  It will take a while to get this down.  I worked on it all last year and still regress at times.

Thanks for the reply. That's all I am doing is this in sections. Towards the end I try to blend it in as a full smooth swing to get the mind processing the changes.

Another thing.  When you go out to play, don't think too much about your swing changes.  Keep maybe one swing thought and just play.

After a few more hard days of drills and work. I think my swing is actually coming together finally.

The down the line view is okay but the phone is hanging off the garage door. I still can monitor what is happening with this view.

The front view is tight as my landlords parents van is parked inside till they get back from mexico. I can still monitor what my hands are body is doing so its still a good way to assist me.

Practice taking the swing from A1 to A4 (as you did above), then to A5, stop, A6 stop.  Your takeaway looks good, but your not getting your hips and weight forward on the downswing.

This is what I am describing below.  I am going to A4, then down to A6 (shaft parallel to ground) and really feeling the weight shift, exaggerating it.  Then I take it back up a bit and finish the swing.

I've been practicing hard on A1 to A4 to get good tempo also. I am going to film outside if the range is open today to submit my instructor. I am going to rig up an alignment stick about a fist length away and practicing get my weight to touch it and my downswing.
