Has anyone ever played at TPC Scottsdale? If you have what is it like? Well kept, and a challenging course? Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance

definitely well-kept like most TPC courses. personally, i don't like the design and could name 10 other courses in the area i'd rather play (and most are cheaper).

If you like target golf, you will really like this course

I agree with the above, recognizing that Arizona golf is for the most part, target golf. Having said that, I played Talking Stick (North) there last year. It is a Coore/Crenshaw design. Typical to their style it is not flashy at all. It is not target golf, and the more I look back on it, the more and more impressed I was with the design. Not a house in sight either as it is on an indian reservation. Definately worth a try.

completely agree. Talking stick is one of my favorite courses in the southwest.

I wouldn't play it this year. They had some major problems with their overseeding last year and basically killed off all the grass. If you still want to go out, make sure you call them first. I was up there in the middle of summer, and they actually stopped and showed you pictures of the course conditions before allowing you to play.

By the way, I still played the course that day. I chalked it up as a good learning experience. Despite the course conditions, it was still fun.

HAHA, no. Nothing compared to Chi town.

They just rebuilt the Desert course and they might be issues 2 for 1 for both courses.
