Welcome to the site. The hooks are coming from the right heel coming off the ground too early causing the hips to shoot out towards the ball. This will make it hard for your body to "turn the corner".

Here's what I would focus on.

Focus on that one thing for now. Also when you post another video it would be best if you were hitting a ball. Gives us a better idea of what's really going on.

I really should have taken the video with my 7 iron cause i hook the ball much much with my longer irons. I actually tend to push my irons. They usually have a baby draw but start off right a lot of the time. I almost have to aim slightly left. I tend to push all my wedges and my 9 iron. Heck it seems im either hooking, pushing or its a perfect baby draw.

Gotcha. Its hard cause i have no friends to record me, i usually play aloneb maybe ill get someone to babysit the kids and my wife can come with me to the range. I would really like to post a video with my driver, as i have serious issues with hooking and not gwtting the proper distance.

It's fine, the swing doesn't really change.

Hey guys. Ive been working on what was in the video. Ive been having an issue with my longer irons. I usually have either a baby fade or baby draw on my shorter irons. With my longer irons, think 7-4n ive been having a pretty large hook. Its interesting cause im pretty accurate with wedges, usually a baby fade. Help?

Also when i do hit my longer irons straight, im pushing it to the right.

You have been offered help by a pro. Take it. :)

Continue to work on getting your weight forward by rolling your ankles. Don't worry about club choice right now, your swing flaws are your swing flaws. You may get different results with different clubs, but it's the same issue.

For video, you don't need someone to film you. If you're using a smartphone, get a cheap phone holder. It's pretty easy. Make sure to do it while hitting a ball.

Good luck!

I have been working on it. Thats not the issue. I was wondering if anyone would have a guess why im only having a major hook with my longer irons and not my shorter ones.

Wow i just realized that the videos changed on this post. The video that was originally up was all about swing plane. This is the first ive seen a video about weight transfer. Lol ill have to go watch it now.

Sorry again about the confusion. I swear there was a dIfferent video up and i actually was working on my swing plane and having a tough time. And now when i look its about weight transfer. I guess maybe something got mixed up. Ill work on that for a few days and post a new

So played a practice round today focusing on weight transfer and tempon and not over swinging. It went alright but my game just wasnt on. Had some nice shots. Also worked on my grip and worked on driving. I realized i had been bending my left elbow and flipping my hands some and when i corrected it the ball starting flying. Had. A couple 320 yard drives and a couple more 285 yard drives when i mishit. The slice has come back a bit though. Frustrating.

I feel like ive improved on it. I read most of the hip slinding thread so during my backswing im focusing on rotating and not swinging my weight back then forward and that really helped. I feel a lot more balanced then im fousing on "pushing off with my right instep" to kind of get my hips slinding. Also taking easier swings with better tempo has helped improve my heel on ground and weight forward much easier.
