Club/Shaft Fitting

First time ever getting on launch monitor.....not a huge numbers/analysis guy.....I have played Titleist driver since the 983 came out and always had a graffaloy blue stiff flex shaft (new driver about every 3/4 years...always the titleist....I hate the look of everything else, for better or worse)........the shaft always felt pretty good, but i have always noticed that I have a fairly low ball flight....recently bought a 913 with a "stock" stiff shaft......absolutely hated the feeling of the shaft and instead of doing what I have done for the past 10 years and asked for a graffaloy blue, I asked to get fitted on the launch monitor.....

I hit about 10-12 drives with my driver.....guy looked at my stats and immediatly opted out for a couple other options another....he said you may like the first, but I think the second will be best....it was a bit better brand, with low tourqe and a bit more stiff.......I took one practice swipe and couldn't beleive the feel difference.....my first ball was about a 10-12% increase in carry (I am NOT a big hittter and I am mid 40s...so I went from a carry of 235-240 (ish) to over 260 on the monitor).....it was night and day.......

moral of the story.......I have ALWAYS heard about the impact that fitting can have, but never really bought into to it until today......an honestly, I don't even care what the numbers say....the feeling alone with that fitted shaft was unbelieveable......go see your local pro/fitter and do it.....and they totally waived the monitor fee b/c I bought the new shaft.....

Fitting is eye opening.  I think it also gives you more confidence.
