Just joined. I have been golfing for over 47 years. Love the game.. I have not been playing as much as I once did, but have the bug again so I am here to see what's what.. I am a member of Bombsquad.Com as well. Cheers, Marc

Welcome, Marc. Glad you found a good nickname. We hope to hear more from you... What kind of gear have you got (anyone from BSG usually has a big ol' list!)?

Are you playing the 704s? How do you like them? I've heard both good and bad things about them.

Well these are my first

REAL irons, the ones I played before were bought for like $250 a few years back. The 704's were a bit tough at first coming off newbie clubs with huge offsets and wide soles but they're excellent clubs. They feel great, have an excellent balance of workability and forgiveness (they're used on tour a lot), and plenty of feedback on those mishits . I've read reviews saying that they don't feel as good as pure forged mild carbon steel since they're made of just forged stainless steel but they're good enough for me. I've tried 690.MB's and I can barely tell a difference but thats probably because I'm not at that level. The only thing that I don't like is the Satin finish. I like the shiny look of the 690's but they get the job done
