Help Me fill the Gap, Assuming 3 wood.

So this is what my bag config looks like currently

G30 Stiff shaft driver 9deg upped to 10

Taylor made stage 2 3 Hybridd Stiff Shaft

RocketBallz 4-sw Steel Stiff Shaft

A 50 degree wedge

58 deg Wedge bent to 60

I am assuming what is missing is a 3 wood from the bag. I am currently looking at the Ping g30 and titeliest 913 and 915'

What would you recommend for this bag to fill the gap and what brand.

A 4 wood is also a good choice, you get a little extra control hitting off the deck and the difference in distance doesn't require another club int the bag.

Reports in Golf Digest suggested that the average golfer can hit a 4W more reliably - and sometimes farther - than a 3W.

I am in my fourth season of using a 4W + 7W, and it works pretty well for me.

so what 4w ? what brand is easier ? Ping or titeliest in terms of forgiveness ?

For fairway woods, you need to focus on model more than manufacturer. Major OEMs often offer two or more models of FWs in a model year to appeal to different swings.

Some fairway woods are made for better golfers. One thing better golfers tend to do is generate more clubhead speed than average golfers. This means they need different clubhead design than average golfers to maximize their swing characteristics. Better golfers tend to want somewhat lower launch, average golfers somewhat higher launch.

The best thing to do is test-hit different fairway woods, see which ones work best for you.

Ping: You probably should try the G25 and G30. Of two, G25 has shallower face and might be more helpful if you have trouble getting the ball up.

Titleist: Probably try the 915F - has higher launch than 915Fd - and is more user-friendly. Note: I rarely hit Titleist products - Any TST comments on this??

Other brands/models to consider... and a couple years old, so prices are great now:

• TM RBZ Stage.2 3W.HL (17* loft, really good club, everyone else calls a 17* a 4W) - avoid original RBZ FWs... many found them hard to hit off the fairway!!
