Fun golf team game

Hey everyone,

Thought I could share this with you because I am sure there are some gamblers on this site.

On my college golf team we were each given 1,000 plastic poker chips at the beginning of the season and told to bet them against each other through out the course of the season. Nassaus, skins, match play, stroke play... any time we are on the golf course we play for some of the chips. Except in tournaments of course :)

The kicker is, at the end of the season, whoever has the most poker chips gets to go play Riviera CC with our assistant coach!

Quite a game, and really fun so far!

Would be really, really cool to get such a fantastic course.

Anyone have any other gambling games I can suggest to teammates? Getting tired of winning all the Nassaus and skins games.

The furthest from the pin will have to buy a round. But! If the closest to the pin, who made the GIR, does not par or better, they buy the round. The best thing about the game is if we all are playing lousy, then no one wins!

We call that "validation" on par 3's.  I don't like playing that since it could punish the CTP just after they 3 jacked..

Play a scotch.. It keeps everyone involved, its a good 4 person game and makes everyone hole out cause all 4 scores are going to count.  You get rewarded for birdies, helluva game!
