I'm wondering what some of you might think about future innovations in blade designs. People have been saying that the Titleist 695 series will be replaced this Spring, but what possible improvements can be made to the existing musclebacks? They already moved as much weight to the bottom and toe of the blades, so redistribution of weight is probably not likely. What else is there?

Nickent's blades have inserts.
I can't hit blades and never tried them.

This =O

I really like the look of the MacGregor Pro-C. I used to play the 1025M's and those were really great clubs, wish I had them back.

I like the Titleist ZM's, the Callaway Proto's for Phil, TM TP Forged, Callaway X-Forged wedges, Nike SQ SUMO2, surprisingly W/S Blades, and Tiger's irons.

It's all marketing when it comes to blades. "Musclebacks"?

What possible improvements can be made to any existing blades? Rhetorical. Either you can strike 'em and feel 'em or you can't.
