Hi all,

Please help. Im hitting a lot of pulls and cuts. Slices with the woods. I didn't think I were swing out to in as I always move my lower body first . But now I'm not so sure.

Any feedback would be really

Cheers mate,

I might give that a go . Might produce a bit more balance and stability throughout the swing

Hope all goes well for you buddy

Your pull is caused by going after it to early in your swing from the top. The cure is to hit 5 iron 130 yards and making softer 75% swings. By not loading up to the top you will develop the understanding of the bottom of your swing timing. Right now your are chopping wood and really going after it from the top and can only be cured by feeling the bottom of your swing.

A face-on video is really pretty necessary here. You likely don't have much of a hip slide/bump or transition your weight forward much at all.

    • From your description, you need to work on a consistent-ish club face at impact. Most practice swings have open faces and variable paths due to the conscious thought that goes into them, so you need to swing at a ball for us to help.
    • thinking of experimenting with shorter shaft in driver. i know shortening the length will throw off swing weight and i will play with lead tape to see what changes i can make as i progress but my main question was about the shaft and stiffness.  i normally play a stiff so would it be beneficial to get an extra stiff 5-wood shaft to compensate for club head weight?
