I was just searching around and saw that Bridgestone came out with a plus (+) version of the e5 and e6 balls.

Does anyone know what the difference is formt he older e series. I tried to search the bridgestone web site but it sounds like the same description as the older balls.

Has anyone tried them?

My understanding is that the e5+ will have a slightly higher ball flight and slightly more carry distance and spin than the e5. The e6+ should spin less on drives so travel straighter than the e6. The changes appear to be very similar to changes from the NXT Tour to the "New NXT Tour" and NXT to the "NXT Extreme" that Titleist made.

I haven't played the + version yet but the e5 and e6 are both very good balls

Seeing as how the last post in this thread was nearly 7 years ago, I doubt they'll be able to find that vintage of the e6 anymore.

I believe that with the + they changed the number of dimples to achieve greater distance.  Ive played Bridgestone balls almost exclusively for the past few years now (theyre the best balls in the market, IMO) and Im a big fan of the E5.  IMO, it delivers nearly the same performance as a tour ball at the fraction of the price.

Ive played the E6 too and its nice if you want to hit straighter shots but I had difficulty getting it to stop on the green.  Even on full shots I had to plan for about 20 feet of rollout, which isnt always an option.

I dont typically struggle with excessive sidespin, (my normal ballflight is a slight draw), so for me the E5 performs the best because I can take advantage of the spin.
