Buying new clubs

Over thanksgiving weekend i got fitted by the Taylor Made rep for a new set of r7 TP's and i was wondering what clubs i should get? I like the idea of getting a couple more hybrids or fairwoods. Also what about pw and aw? In the long run would i be better off getting say the Titelist or the Taylor Made wedges or do the wedges that come in a set good? Thank you for your opinion!

i personnally do not like getting the wedges that come with the wedges, b/c i think alot of them arent any good, unless your talkn about the ping eye 2's or something. I try to stick to the same brand though. So it has close to the same feel.

I was going to get the ping eye 2 wedges, but they are too dang expensive, so I settled for the tours, which are also nice

I'd get the the same brand PW, but different brand SW for the long run. First set I bought was Callaway Fusion and I matched the whole set from 3-LW. Later on I purchased Vokey SM and the matching Callaway wedges never came near the Vokey in regard to performance. There's a good reason why wedges have their own category just like woods, hybrids, putters and drivers. One word; specialty.

you know fusioncal that really makes sense and i've thought about that myself it just seemed a little odd to me when the rep fitting me asked if i was going to get a matching sandwedge or lobwedge. I'll just order my wedges seperatly

How's that Cleveland Gunmetal wedge doing? Good? As a fan of Vokey wedges and also biased toward it, I think you should try them.

Well its a beautiful looking wedge and doesn't play all that bad either ;) I just happened to see them on clearance at the local shop and remembered my dad loves his whole set so i thought i'd try them out. This weekend when i go to order my irons i'm either going to pick up the vokey's or the taylormade rac tp's in 52 56 and 60. Have you hit the taylor mades? I've heard they are up there with the spin mills but not really hitting the spin milled I don't know personally.

One of my golf buddies has the Rac TP Black in 52 deg. I tried it, but I think it's not as solid as the Vokeys. No, I'm not biased on this one.

I don't think you should, unless you have specific needs such as wanting it to spin more, higher/lower trajectory, weight less/more, or other things along those lines. Otherwise I'd leave them as is fresh from factory with standard DG wedge flex. However, the things you may want to look at are the lie and bounce angle of the wedge. They'll affect how good your impact is.

When I ordered my set of Titleist 775cb irons, I ordered two Vokey Spin Mill wedges with the same shaft I had ordered in the 775s ( the NS PRO reg flex ); and like the 775 shafts, I had the wedges' shaft cut down progressively 1/4 of an inch. My set matches well and the feel between the 775 irons and the Vokey wedges is almost seamless. I like that quality about my set very much.

but most shops can change the lie angle there cant they? like i don't need to order them +3?
