Not too familiar with Callaway Clubs.  I found this Big Bertha gems 55W three wood in a veterans store for around $4.00 and kind of like the way it feels. Am I correct in assuming that the 55W designation on the shaft refers to this being a woman's club?   I don't know how old it is, but all the decals are there and shows little wear.   Comparison with similar on ebay, I am guessing it was produced circa 2005.

That's correct.

The original Gems boxed set came with Driver / 7W / 5H / irons 7, 9, SW / a chipper / and putter.

Excellent quality starter set for the female golfer.

The current Callaway model is called the Solaire Gems. The 8-piece set has different lofts than the originals.

Ok, thanks. Not sure of the year of origin of this 3 wood but 2005 seems about right from other photos.
