I'm headed to Scotland to play at the Glasgow Golf Club in September.  Does anyone know if caddies are available?

My suggestion, go to their website and fill out an Enquiry Form.  I've found that every golf club in Scotland that I've ever dealt with is very responsive to emails.  Its quite possible that caddies are only available if you've requested them in advance, that's pretty common for the less famous courses.

Thanks, Dave, I'll do that.  I was able to find out online that they have caddies at the Gailes Course, so they probably have them at Killermont, too.  You are correct that you have to reserve caddies in advance.  Have you played either course?

Thanks again -

Wow, you guys have to reserve caddies in advance.  Here in India and also in Mozambique, I have never gone to a course and not been bugged by excess caddies, except perhaps during tournament time when caddies are just looking to make as much money as possible for the day.  Then they tend to be booked in advance by regular golfers.

What's in the bag

  • Taylor Made r5 dual Draw 9.5* (stiff)
  • Cobra Baffler 4H (stiff)
  • Taylor Made RAC OS 6-9,P,S (regular)
  • Golden Bear LD5.0 60* (regular)
  • Aidia Z-009 Putter
  • Inesis Tour 900 golf ball

I've never played on the west side of Scotland, but have been to the St Andrews and Dornoch areas a couple of times.  You'll have a great time.
