Maltby HMS

I'm a casual golfer getting back into the game. I've been trying out a bunch of clubs at the local simulator and seem to have settled on some maltby HMS heads.

Does anyone have any comments on golf galaxy build quality, etc? For the money, they are very affordable and should be better than my 16 year old no-name set I have now, and once I know I am playing more, getting a stronger back and becoming more consistent, I can move into a better suited set.

i am doing this in the next couple of weeks (hopefully-feedback apreciated) but when golf galaxy regripped my clubs, the water they use to take off the glue was not wiped away. so when i put my clubs in my bag, water drips out the grips....not to pleased about this, it happened to my dad and my friend, too.

Well as an employee at best buy Maltby is a great club. Just as lynx is the club for golfsmith, Maltby is the club for golf works which golf galaxy is pretty much sponsored by that is why there is a golfworks in every golf galaxy. You don't have to get them built at golf galaxy you can order them through golfworks or buy them prebuilt from the company not golf galaxy out on the store floor. But maltby clubs are great clubs and will live up to your expectations.

As for this the "water" you speak of doesn't make sense. When you regrip a club you don't take the glue off, there isn't any glue in fact. You put a layer of double stick tape on the club, then spray spirits or a type of alocohol on the tape and then inside the grip, then slip the grip on, as far as the liquid coming out of the grip they didn't seal the end of the club with the excess tape causing it to go down the club shaft and store there until you put them upside down. That is galaxy's fault and shouldn't have happened, that is why you tuck the excess tape up the shaft instead of tearing it off.

That "water" could actually be water. Water activated tape-strips could have been used. Those strips are very easy to use, but I do not trust them for non-putters. I do not even use them on most putters.

It can take as long as ten hours for a club to completely dry after a grip is put on.

!!! If the "water" was actually grip solution, do not get in in deep cuts, rub wet hands or fingers in your eyes, or (obviously) to not lick it. At least some of the solutions cause loss of sensation or twitching when they get in these areas. In my experience, a large amount of exposure to the skin of the hands will make them a good bit less dexterous for about two hours.
