New to the forum.  Novice golfer.  But, I love clubs.  Especially older clubs that I can get for a good price.  So, my question to any and everyone is...

Where can I find a golf club database?  Not necessarily all inclusive.  Mainly the big names.  I love finding older Ping, Taylormade, Callaway, Nike(definitely now that they aren't making them anymore), Odyssey, etc..  But, for the most part I really don't know what I've got.  I just know that I like the look and how it feels when I swing it.

I'm hoping to become more "literate" in this field.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and Keep 'em straight out there!

Not a database per se, but take a look at Maltby's Playability Factor. It lists a large number of clubs and classifies them according to "playability" using Maltby's formulas. Just take any of the names there and Google it or search eBay. Also, take a look at eBay's vintage club listings under the brands you want to check out. I was amazed at the sheer number of different models. Good luck! -Marv
