Largely, full-swing shots do what they do for me.  It's partial shots where spin seems to differ a lot for me, and urethane covers make a big difference.

i think your right now that I'm thinking about it. all the top level balls seem to be very similar. on short chips I do see the difference with it checking up more on the urethane balls apposed to the alternative.

I've had pretty good luck with Titleist tru-soft and Callaway supersoft for that very thing. Plenty long too.
